  Payment for Sponsored Courses

When you register for a sponsored course from TheCapitol.Net (TCN) you are paying us to hold the date of the sponsored course for you and your group - much like buying a group of airline or train tickets in advance to ensure you have seats for your group. Therefore, we deposit your check or charge your credit card upon our acceptance of your registration.

All payments for sponsored courses are due at least 3 weeks before the sponsored course date. (If you prefer to pay after the course, then you want a custom training program, which requires a signed contract.)

You are registered as the course sponsor once we have accepted your fully paid program fee.

Most of our scheduled sponsored courses are held near Metro stops in Washington, DC.

TheCapitol.Net accepts these forms of payment for our sponsored courses, publications, Capitol Learning Audio Course CDs, and Capitol Learning Audio Course online downloads *:

  • Preferred for Sponsored Courses

    • Checks

    • EFT/ACH  *

  • Others

    • Government Procurement Cards

    • Major credit cards - VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover

    • PayPal (we do not accept PayPal for sponsored courses or custom training)

    • Cash *

*  These forms of payment are not accepted for online downloads.

Our preferred methods of payment are checks, and EFT/ACH.

EFT/ACH is not available to individuals or foreign registrants. We do not accept checks or EFT from non-US banks, and all payments must be made in USD ($).

Your credit card statement will show charges from us as "TheCapitolNet" or "TheCapitolNet 2026781600" or "TheCapitolNet 7037393790" or "TheCapitolNetAlexVA 7037393790".

Government Employees

  • TheCapitol.Net is on the GSA Schedule, 874-4, for custom on-site training. We accept government credit cards and electronic funds transfer (EFT/ACH). Please see our registration in CCR/SAM for EFT/ACH information.

  • If your agency has a specific form that must be completed by us to authorize EFT/ACH payment, please send that form to our registrar at least 4 weeks before the course date.

If you need a Form W-9, we have a pre-filled version here (1-page PDF)

Your program fees and any administrative fees must be paid in full at least 3 weeks before a sponsored course takes place.  Payment of any administrative fees due must be received in our office before the sponsored course begins.

When you order online, your credit card is charged immediately when you submit your order, even if the item is not available for shipment.

Late Registrations and Walk-Ins at Sponsored Courses

We do not accept registrations for sponsored courses less than three weeks before the start date.

Walk-ins are at the discretion of the course sponsor.

Cancellations, Substitutions and Date Changes for Sponsored Courses

See our weather policy for information about weather cancellations for our sponsored courses in Washington, DC.
