  • Folger Shakespeare Library

      201 East Capitol Street, SE (Behind the Library of Congress). This library has one of the world's finest collections of rare English Renaissance books and a large collection of Shakespeare's works. Plus, there are many programs and concerts at the Folger theatre. The building and gift shop are open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tours are available Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m., Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Call for tour information and event times: 202-544-7077.   • Ford's Theatre

      511 10th Street, NW, 10th Street between E and F Streets, NW. Building is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the exception of Christmas.  202-426-6924. 202-347-4833

  • John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

      New Hampshire Avenue at Rock Creek Parkway, NW. 202-254-3600. The Foggy Bottom/GWU Station (23rd and I) is the closest Metro stop. From there it is a seven minute walk via New Hampshire Ave. OR use the free Kennedy Center Show Shuttle (signs are towards the left as you exit the escalator). It departs every 15 minutes from 9:45 a.m.-midnight Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturdays, and noon-midnight Sundays and 4:00 p.m.-midnight on federal holidays. Metro: Foggy Bottom/GWU
