Publications purchased directly from TheCapitol.Net may be returned only if the publication has a manufacturing defect or unless the original package is returned to us unopened. If a publication is damaged in transit, please contact the shipper and us using our web form, or call us directly at 703-739-3790, extension 112.  You will need an RMA from us to return any publication. If you purchased a publication from a bookstore, please contact the bookstore.

Our Capitol Learning Audio Courses on CD may be returned for refund only if the CD case is unopened and the security seal is intact. If a package is damaged in transit, please contact the shipper and us using our web form, or call us directly at 703-739-3790, extension 112. You will need an RMA from us to return any audio courses on CD.

Once the URL for an audio course download is issued, there are no refunds, i.e, for downloaded courses, once the download link has been emailed to the email address given with the order, there are no refunds.
 

Because space is limited for all of our courses, when you register for a course sponsored by TheCapitol.Net (TCN) you are paying us to hold a space for you at the course for which you register - much like buying an airline or train ticket in advance to ensure you have a seat. Therefore, we deposit your check or charge your credit card upon our acceptance of your registration. You are registered once we have accepted your fully paid registration. As part of our course registration process, all attendees are required to accept our Cancellation, Substitution and Transfer policy.

Your course registration must be paid in full before you attend a course.  Payment is on time if received in our offices the day before the course or if you pay at the course registration immediately before the course begins.

If you cancel your registration for a course, we charge an administrative fee ** according to our Transfer and Cancellation Fee schedule.

If you do not cancel or transfer before your course starts and you do not attend the course, you will be billed for your registration and you will not receive a refund, i.e., you are a no-show and you must pay the full registration fee. We send course materials to fully-paid no-shows.

No refunds are given to no-shows.

All cancellations and substitutions must be submitted prior to the start of the course in writing (letter: PO Box 25706, Alexandria, VA  22313-5706 or fax: 703-739-1195) or via email (registrar -at- TheCapitol.Net). Once the course has started, there are no refunds or transfers. We mail the course materials to no-shows.
