How we handle email and spam sent to us.

If you are looking for our email list for receiving email messages about our upcoming courses and products, click this sentence.

If you don't get a response to an email you sent to us, try using our web form.

Please note that our email system automatically rejects email messages that are identified as spam.  Once added to our spam filters, any email that is caught by a filter is deleted automatically, without us having to see or deal with it.

We forward all instances of spam that do make it through our spam filters, with full headers, to the FTC at uce@ftc.gov .

Again, once a word or a domain is added to our spam filters, we do not see email messages that contain that word or that originate, or appear to originate, from that domain.

If you do not get a response to any email message you send to us within 2 to 3 business days, it is probably because your message was filtered out by our spam filters. In that case, you might want to use an alternate method to contact us or try using our web form.

For why we block some domains, see "The Story of 'Nadine' -- A Tale of Mailing Lists".

Please feel free to send your spam to the FTC at uce@ftc.gov

Please Note:
We do not buy products from unsolicited email, unsolicited phone calls, personal visits without appointments, or faxes from any organization we have not previously dealt with.  We are not interested in how we can save $25 by buying your ink cartridges or by using telephone service or long distance from a company that may or may not be in business next year. We don't want to know about any organ enhancing images, herbs, drugs, procedures or stories. We are not interested in hearing about how we can help spouses of dead generals or a VERY distant relative or deposed leaders who died leaving us millions, or any other 419 scams.

We do not provide free research, and we believe that all students should write their own papers on topics they have chosen or been assigned by their teachers.

We will not pass along any messages to any member of Congress or any government agency, so please do not send them to us as such messages are deleted.  One of the many great things about living in the United States is that we, and you, can contact our government representatives directly, with no interference from third parties; see our FAQ, "How to Contact Congress."  Remember, communication that is courteous and civil is far more effective than communication containing insults and threats. And, although some people do not believe it, elected members of Congress DO listen to their constituents.

P.S. We do not sell flags - see "How do I get a flag that has flown over the Capitol?"
