Planning, Practice, and PowerPoint
Ideal for professionals who need to sharpen their
presentation skills, this in-depth course helps your
staff plan and structure high-impact presentations. They
will learn persuasive techniques that use both verbal
and nonverbal communication, boost their aptitude in
dealing with Q&A sessions and how to enhance their
message with visual aids. Your staff will also practice
presentation delivery and receive professional feedback
on their public speaking skills.

The beginning of a winning presentation requires
planning, research, and analysis. The instructor will
take you through the steps you need to take, including
thinking about the topic, researching the topic and your
audience, organizing your thoughts, and employing
persuasive techniques during your presentation.
Keys to Effective Presentations: Using Positive Emotion
to Persuade
In this session, tips and techniques for delivering a
presentation will be discussed. The instructor will
teach you breathing exercises that help reduce
nervousness, tips on projecting your voice, techniques
that increase your confidence in delivering an effective
presentation, and strategies to use when answering Q&A.
Common do's and don'ts will be discussed. You will be
given a chance to practice some of these tips and
techniques in an interactive manner.
Enhancing Your Presentation with Visual Aids
Choosing the right visual aids may make or break your
presentation. You will learn what your visual options
are and when you should use them.

Practice Makes Perfect
You will have an opportunity to put what you have
learned during the day into practice. You will choose a
topic and prepare a written summary of the presentation.
Some attendees will deliver their presentations to the
class. When giving feedback, the instructor will focus
on the following areas in order to reinforce concepts
taught during the morning session:
Effective eye contact and body language
Using targeted "key messages"
Using persuasion to gain acceptance of your
recommendation
Don'ts-don't read notes; don't use technical jargon
and acronyms; and don't be defensive handling Q&A
Working lunch and breaks scheduled as appropriate
